DREAMER(For the sake of japanese race car initials:Driving,REcreational And MEchanical Resource). That's probably what's going to be stuck to the side of my car in silver pretty soon. Just came up with it, it's a combination of what's been in my head the past week, and the tunes of sixpence none the richer's remake of 'don't dream is over' that has summed up my life as that of a dreamer. Visions of Michelle Branch's 'goodbye to you' does spring to mind and while this all seems a very commercialised rant up till right about now, it actually goes deeper than that. I'm a dreamer, and that's a first piece of the puzzle solved. Dreamers don't necessarily live in their dreamscapes, but they prefer it. It's hard to come back to this reality from what was a perfect world. It's only when dreamscapes start falling apart when the trouble begins. However, sometimes, I realised that to live in the world today, it's not all about doing something to improve; wait..let me start again. What I wanted to say was that sometimes the answers we seek to living a life we want can be etched in time. By that I mean eras. The past week has suddenly been very 80's due to my er "Commando" DVD I got not too long ago. That created a shock wave reaction of events that have brought me to last night where I was just watching telly and watched "Coming to America", but I switched channels and there was this song, the song I'm listening to now "Don't dream it's over"--one of the songs I loved when I was much younger, and suddenly I'm surrounded by these emotions, and a clear answer, a remembrance of what was then, of how to live, and why. This answer cannot be put into words, it was more of a feeling, that somehow I knew what was to be done; and life is now very much simpler, and something I would love to enjoy.I know it sounds like I'm drunk or whatever, but just thought I'd share my thoughts with total (or not so total) strangers on the net.
