It's 4am...and move's "strike on" is playing as I just had my bath and just got home from a high school reunion at Charlie's Place KL and a bout of Doom 3 and Unreal Tournament 2004 but more on that later. What hit me about the reunion thingy was that I still didn't really know the people there and was still as speechless. Result? Ended up hanging with the usual group and ate loads of lamb, spaghetti, grilled sotong and chicken. And a ton of mushroom sauce. A bit on the expensive side, yes, but lovely food and setting. Weird. But happily no one turned up with any sports cars to make me drool silly and go home feeling like modding again; but while waiting for the group did see a murcielago, f360 modena, 911 turbo AND a boxster pass by. All that in 15 minutes. Back on topic, yeah it seemed like it should have been a good night but it didn't feel like it. Maybe it was my obsession with my inability to connect. Or maybe it was lack of sleep. Slept at 6am dammit. Been doing that this past week thanks in part to GTO, the reformatting of my laptop and various animes I can't really remember to mention. Therefore it can be seen that no work has been done at all. It occurs to me that right after finishing the storyboard/animatics last monday all workhorses ground to a stop. No explaination. Maybe it's my constant need to rise to a new challenge. But I really doubt that. Excuses, excuses. Oh well, on the bright side, I can run Halo on my PC and Unreal Tournament 2004 as well though the latter requires 5gb of free space, something I wouldn't want to give up.....oh, my precious..That bring us on to the trip to VA.Played Doom 3 for the first time and my god, it's the most gorgeous graphics I've ever seen in any game..ever. Gameplay seems to be spot on and as expected, it is scary as hell. But after dying on my first try (i did go quite far tho...by my standards anyway) I decided to switch to Unreal Tourney which I had a real blast in. Was terrorizing the network until this chick named emm Funbie or something whooped all our asses. Sad. But lovely. As of now practice of that game will commence...well as soon as I get the system memory up to my preference anyway...After that I just went crazy as the place suddenly got hot literally due to air conditioning failure i think... and gave me a feeling of dizzyness and wanting to throw up...after thinking it thru it was all due to heat and my lack of sleep. Only had 4-5 hours last night. And the night before wasn't great either. Well then that's the whole day. And saw the vampire that haunts the limau besar roads again...waved a friendly hello...and he gave me a bit of a fright really...but all in all a fun night. Now if all Saturdays were more like this...
